The reason why Buffalo get's less than let's say Fabius, New York or Tully, NY ( belt way ) or even Oswego for that matter, is because we are BETWEEN the lakes vs . right on the edge like Rochester, NY and the other towns I mentioned get the drift snow bands that come over the lakes that carry across the area.
